It’s a response to the events that were going down in Libya after Muammar Gaddafi was killed. The U.S. supported the rebels to topple the Gaddafi Regime with use of Drone attacks. With little cost to Americans our technology exerted big influence over the outcome of a nation. Good or bad, the question is, what is won? And what was our role? I was trying to find a place to play the domesticity of American Pop culture vs the realities of American (military) influence while referencing Caravaggio’s Judith Beheading Holofernes.
